Our commitment

Hameed Urdu Academy is committed to improving access to its digital information and admissions journey. We aim to design pages that can be understood and operated by as many people as reasonably possible.

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time badge. The website will be reviewed as new pages, forms, media and third-party services are introduced.

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a practical reference, but we do not claim formal certification or perfect conformance across every browser, device and assistive technology.

Current accessibility features

The current website includes:

Keyboard navigation and screen readers

Keyboard use

Most interactive elements can be reached with the Tab key and activated with Enter or Space. Dialogs and mobile navigation are designed to close with the Escape key where appropriate.

Screen-reader structure

Pages use heading levels, landmark regions, form labels, button names and status attributes to help assistive technology communicate the page structure and current state.

Visual comfort, text and motion

The website uses large headings, restrained colour, generous spacing and a readable content width. Text is intended to remain usable when browser zoom is increased.

Visitors who enable “Reduce motion” in their operating system should receive a calmer version of non-essential animation and scrolling effects.

Visitors may also use browser features to:

• Zoom text and page content
• Increase contrast
• Override fonts or colours
• Use reading mode
• Disable animation

Content, images and language

We aim to use concise headings, plain supporting language and descriptive links. Meaningful images should include alternative text, while decorative images should be ignored by assistive technology.

Urdu script may display differently depending on the visitor’s browser, operating system and available fonts. Where Urdu text is essential, we aim to preserve readable contrast and sufficient spacing.

PDFs, result sheets, screenshots and documents added later should be reviewed before publication. Some third-party or scanned documents may be less accessible than the main website.

Forms and alternative contact routes

Assessment and contact forms use visible labels and keyboard-accessible controls. They prepare a message for WhatsApp, where the visitor can review the information before sending it.

Known limitations

Despite ongoing care, some limitations may remain. These can include:

• Third-party services such as WhatsApp, email clients, Google Fonts or hosting interfaces
• Older browser versions or unusual combinations of assistive technology
• Scanned result sheets, screenshots or documents supplied as images
• Automatically generated or user-provided content added after the original design review

We will prioritise problems that prevent visitors from understanding important information, contacting the academy or completing an admissions action.
